A Human Nature Reflection: Overcoming the Spirit of Fear

It’s so funny how God works sometimes, my last post was literally just a few days ago talking about seeking inspiration in our everyday lives (if you missed that one, please go back and check it out), and just a few short days later He speaks again! Considering some recent and projected current events, the Lord pressed on my heart to discuss fear. Yes, fear is instilled in us and is essentially a part of our human nature, however if we let it consume our heart, mind, body and spirit, it can manifest and lead into some dangerous territory. I’m sure that everyone has become aware of the devastation that hit Houston, Texas and other surrounding Texas cities as well as parts of Louisiana this past week with Hurricane Harvey. A Life Reflection: Seek Inspiration!

Over these past few days I kept thinking about how I haven’t written a blog post for almost three weeks and how I need to write one soon. When I first started this blog, I knew that I did not want to come out of the gate strong and consistent and then have it eventually fall to the wayside and be a distant memory of a passion project, but I also did not want to write something just for the sake of “being consistent”. It was (and still is) very important to me to be inspired to write so my words come from a genuine place and don’t feel forced or come off as fake. My hope is that as result of my moment of inspiration that I would help to inspire others. I said all of this to say that sometimes we may feel a lack of inspiration but a lot of times it does not take a grand act or gesture to be inspired, but instead it’s the little things that we reflect on throughout the day that can spark inspiration 💥.
